During the tailoring course, women learn to compute budgets for clothing and manage savings from making their own clothes. They learn to design and construct a variety of clothing types. With their new source of income, students are able to purchase sewing machines and build their own small business or even become sewing teachers themselves after they graduate. Several graduates have now successfully diversified to sewing respiratory masks and PPE kits. Our team at OM TARE FREE EDUCATION TRUST works to actively listen to and learn from the communities we serve. As such, our programs are tailored to the specific needs of these rural and semi-urban communities as they understand and voice them. Sewing, stitching, tailoring, and embroidery are good options for rural women as they enable them to work and earn from their own homes. This work is socially acceptable, economically viable, and allows students’ families to likewise grow in appreciating the benefits of orienting towards entrepreneurship. Your support can make a world of difference to women in rural India as they work to improve the lives of their families. Thank you for supporting OM TARE FREE EDUCATION TRUST.
